Love Karen Steward. Not only is she very knowledgeable but she's also very helpful. Karen wants to see healing in people with adhesions. Through her own experience with her daughter going through the painful journey of adhesions she has developed a compassion and strong passion to help others get well. When my husband was in the hospital for a second surgery and the doctors said he had developed really bad adhesions that affected his second surgery I immediately turned to Karen for help; I had her book in my hands within a matter of about 3 days. Karen has done all the research and she already walked this road; I trust her completely.

I have Karen Steward to thank, for giving me back the quality of life I now am living. After 11 surgeries, where the doctors here in the U.S. attempting to rid me of my pelvic agony, by removing every organ that they could possibly remove, and still not getting relieff, only creating more and more adhesions, making my pain worse and worse, I truly felt like I had nowhere else to turn. I was without any hope of getting help. I truly felt, that in time, this disease would eventually end my life. It was a miracle when we found Karen's website, ordered her book, and immediately made plans, within a month, to get me to Germany for the Adhesiolysis surgery that changed my life. I had lost huge amounts of weight, by this time, unable to eat. I was on alot of pain meds, that were barely helping. After seeing my operative report from Germany, I was stunned to find that I had had two bowel obstructions, strangulated duodenum, and my bladder was coated with adhesions. It all made sense, as to why I had been in so much pain and unable to eat. Now, I've regained the weight. I'm eating like a normal person. I'm able to enjoy my children and grandchildren, and all of the many other blessings my life has to offer. I will never be able to thank Karen Steward enough for how much she has helped. She's a wonderful, kind, compassionate person, who knows this battle of ARD, has seen how awful it is to try live with the evil disease. She has made it her life's work, to try and make sure noone else has to suffer needlessly. God Bless Karen Steward!

I cannot even begin to touch on the gratitude that I have in my heart for the fight that Karen Steward has in her to help adhesion sufferers. When I was at the end of my rope with adhesions fusing my bladder and uterus together as well as fusing them to my abdominal wall, I was searching the Internet for ANY kind of help or direction. I emphasized "any" because of the total lack of concern or help my surgeon and gynecologist were giving me. Thank Jesus that I kept coming across Karen Steward's website and writings on adhesions. I contacted her and she directed me to an adhesion group for people to be able to connect with others that were living the nightmare of adhesions. She encouraged me to get the help I so desperately needed and God provided a way for me to get to Germany for surgery.
We have since had the opportunity to share our stories of faith and trust in our awesome Heavenly Father and encourage each other in prayer. Karen is a sweet spirit that is being used in a mighty way to light the scary path that all those who suffer from adhesions are forced to travel down. I praise God for her determination to help take the fear that we all face in helping us find hope in the skilled hands of the gifted Dr Kruschinski in Germany.
I am blessed to know this dear woman!

There are only a few people in your life you can really count on, who show you the bright sides on a cloudy day, who encourage you, who help you to go on when you just want to lay down and who make you believe that this life is worth to fight for it and who are real friends! Dr. Kruschinski saved my life with a lot of really hard work and Karen Steward gave me the power, faith and trust to go on! Words cannot tell how grateful I am!! Karen you are just a blessing and an angel on earth!

After 6 years of futile efforts to find a diagnosis for my
friend in Canada, we came across Karen Steward - her book
and Dr. D. Kruschinski. This path led to surgery by the
world-renown expert in adhesions who saved my friend's
life. It was incredible to find a surgeon who cared so
much, surrounded by expert and caring staff, in a
beautiful healing clinic.

Karen Steward wrote a book that can be an inspiration for
people who are ready to give up on life with undiagnosed
pain. Dr. Kruschinski offers a life-saving procedure.

Thank you Karen for sharing your daughter's story. Thank God she has been well, after her surgery. I am grateful to you for this informative website. So many, do not understand about adhesions, or believe our pain is only in our head. Sharing your knowlege and story, I pray will bring awareness, compassion and eventually a cure. Thank you

Karen, I just want to take a moment and sincerely thank you from the bottom of my soul. Truly, without your help, I probably would have lost my life, my son would be without a mommy. It is because of your support that I am standing here today to give my son a hug, to give my husband a kiss, and to give my family my hand as we pray for all others suffering with this illness. Thank you so much Karen for your hard work, your sacrifice, and your support.
Sincerely,
Mina Bonocore

Thank you Karen for writing your book and for bringing awareness and hope about adhesions to all of us. Your book is my daughters story as well - suffering for 10 years and still dealing with the medical maze. Is there anyone in the USA that is up to date on the treatment of adhesions?
